The Soulie Path to Machu Picchu

The Soulie Path to Machu Picchu Sanctuary. The Soulie Path is a living tribute, a moving prayer, a living ceremony, born from love, loss, faith, and the magic of a soul companion. Inspired by Soulie, a tender-hearted medicine dog who carried joy, healing, and tenderness to all she met. This path begins in Cusco, the navel of the Earth, on the way to the warm lands of Quillabamba, and traverses the breathtaking heights of Abra Málaga, where the cold wind purifies the mind and clears the old stories from our bones. Descending into Santa Teresa, the air warms and thickens with jungle scents, and the spirit of adventure stirs.

Once in Santa Teresa, we are ready to explore, refresh, and renew our bodies and clear our minds in the very curative waters of Cocalmayo Hot Springs.
We will return to our Eco Lodge to talk about tomorrow’s path and other things, and then we will have a wonderful rest.

Very early in the morning, after a soft breakfast, we’ll be ready to share some words, send our intentions, and depart. From here, we walk the railroad trail — barefoot in soul, light in body — to Aguas Calientes, guided by the master plants in a deeper journey through Da Midnite Train
Mapacho — for grounding and protection | Wachuma — to open the heart and stretch the spirit | Sacred Mushrooms — to dissolve the veil | Coca Leaves — to strengthen the body and connect with Pachamama | Blue Lotus & Ganja — to soften the heart and invite the dreamtime, or if you are ready…jump into the Willkamayu river where the waters face each other | DMT — to bring you back!

It was on this very trail that Soulie swam for the first and only time, beneath the towering sanctuary of Machu Picchu, as if her soul knew this was the place where she’d return. The river welcomed her as it will welcome you — to cleanse, baptize, and carry away what no longer serves.

Some paths are walked with feet.
Others… are walked with the heart!

This is the only path where Soulie swam (with me and her) beneath the sanctuary of Machu Picchu — where joy, medicine, and the river’s current became one.
Along this journey, master plants like Wachuma, Coca leaves, Blue Lotus, and Mushrooms guide the way, helping us dissolve our burdens and reconnect with wonder. It’s not just a hike. It’s a path for dreamers, explorers, and seekers, a trail where the self is remembered, and the soul is renewed. One month later, Soulie’s life was taken away far from us.

Powerful and beautiful. Soulie’s spirit returning in a new form feels like a profound cycle of healing, transformation, and reunion — like the soul’s journey never truly ends, it just evolves and comes back stronger. Do you want to explore this story more? Tell you on The Soulie Path…with Soulie.
